I've finished one of Sam's gloves but, like a complete tit, I didn't make a note of what I did. I was using Ann Budd's multi sized glove pattern and it talks about knitting a certain length. That's fine for one glove but I can never seem to get things to match if I do that for the second glove. I end up measuring differently some how. So I had to count rows and I just never got around to it. Typical huh!
I did most of the first glove at knitting group two Mondays ago, bit because I'd not bothered to figure out the pattern for the next glove in time for knitting group last Monday (and I'd managed to misplace the glove so I couldn't figure it out!), I ended up bringing a whole bunch of needles and baby patterns with the plan of picking a pattern at the club.
I ended up knitting one of Ysolda's tiny little shoes in cream. Yet again she has made a fun pattern, and I got the thing finished in a couple of hours. When I got home I wove on the ends and added the cutest little cup cake button (and I'm ignoring what Sam said the button looked like!) and one shoe was done. Woot!
On Wednesday I did the other little shoe as Da and I drove to the tip and back. Then I finished it off and today I washed them both (of course!) and dried them, and hopefully tomorrow I can post them to my cousin's new baby.
Aren't they just adorable? I'm blaming the pattern for that! So cute. I LOVE baby shoes.
Then tonight, unable to sleep, I finally got Sam's glove pattern sorted, so I still start on that tomorrow hopefully, or at least I'll have it to do at knitting group. So far so good with the resolution hey! Wonders may never cease.
Oh, speaking of the resolution and my list, I've frogged the orange baby vest. I'm going to do something else with that wool. Not sure what yet, so does it still count as a UFO or can I cross it off my list? Advice please?
Edited to add: Since first drafting this post and actually posting it, I started Sam's glove, stuffed it up because i didn't have a row counter and I was watching Midsommer Murders so I forgot when I was meant to be increasing, pulled it undone, and have started again. I don't know if I'll get much of a chance to do anything with it tomorrow but I'll probably get it finished on Monday night at the Knitting group. Fingers crossed!
